OpenOffice still better.

I think that KOffice is great. It makes KDE a complete and independet Desktop with all software areas covered by valueable software. The only thing I miss like everyone else is the Word export filter. Open sourced office applications should work closer together to create / improve a common import / export library ( e.g. wv2 ). Recently I have seen very few changes to that library ( but I took only a quick look ). I wonder why the developers of the big open source office sites do not work togethe...

Do you like the actual KDE Controlcenter??? (vote)

Quoted Original von anda_skoa I found the Search tab very helpful when looking for settings I had not changed before, thus didn't know where to look. For example insert "cursor" into the search field Cheers, _ Actually thats the way I found it, but I did not want to believe that one has to search for how to change the cursor theme... So what should a user do - search for the most trivial things right from the beginning or should a user first try to find it for a certain time and when he finally...

RSS feed of new posts

I would really appreciate having this feature - to give an example of a situation where it is useful : When I watch a topic and get a mail because someone has posted a reply then I visit this topic. Yet, even though I visit the forum to check this single topic I would have to check all new posts, even if I do not have the time to do it - because otherwise the new topics up to that visit will be lost when I come back later and check new posts then. But with an RSS feed one never looses track of n...

Do you like the actual KDE Controlcenter??? (vote)

I agree that it needs a facelifting. Recently I switched from GNOME to KDE and KDE is better in nearly every area - yet, the only thing that makes me crazy sometimes is searching for an option - e.g. I searched for a way to change the mouse cursor theme ( I Knew I had seen it before ) in the appearance section for several minutes and finally found it under hardware. Do I really setup hardware when I change the cursor theme ?

RSS feed of new posts

I've searched the forum and took a look at the homepage, but I didn't find it : A RSS feed of new posts to this forum. Is one available ? Or what would one have to do to help to get one ?

[konqueror] did someone managed to make gmail work?

I have no clue how to integate gmail into KDE, but maybe with some Python skills you could port the gmail gdesklet to a SuperKaramba theme : http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/categories.php?func=gd_show_app&gd_app_id=171
