Mouse locks up - may be related to khotkeys

When my mouse stops moving in KDE 3.2.2 I get the following message twice on my CLI: knotkeys: activate_window_condition: set match : false As I have reported elsewhere, If I go to the command line via Ctrl-Alt-F8 and Alt-F1, and return to KDE, mouse movement comes back. I get this two or three times an hour of light mouse use. 3.2.2 Freezing up..

I have seen my mouse stop moving every once in a while - I find that I can ctrl-alt-F8 then Alt-F1 to get to a CLI - I then move my mouse around and I see a character-mode block moving. Then I Alt-F7 to go back to the desktop and the mouse will be live again. I am not running kicker, so that's not implicated in this case. Clint ps It just happened again, and my work-around worked again. How's *that* for verifying things? <grin> c

kmymoney2 needs qt compiled for threads. Problem?

I've seen serveral references to problems with KDE if you are running qt with 'threads' compiled ON. I would like to evaluate kmymoney2 but it requires qt to support threads. What's the concensus on this issue? I value a stable/running KDE 3.2.2 over kmymoney2. Clint

KDE 3.2.2 installed to Slackware 9.1 via konstruct worked

After tying to download and hand-build the 3.2.2 release, I tried downloading a binary package from LinuxPackages (which didn't work - various dependencies which got complicated) - finally I actually READ the KDE site and saw the konstruct instructions. I was a bit skeptical, but I tried it, and it worked without problems. Running 3.2.2 now. Of course, konstruct is *not* a real option for those without a fast internet connection, but with one, and a good/fast processor and enough memory, it work...
