I just installed Debian 3.x (sarge). After I sign in as a user I can run apps just fine, but if I open a console and switch to super user (with su), I can't run any gui apps. This might be a permissions problem. I'm not sure. Here is the error message: Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: No protocol specified Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0.0 Thank you for your help!
