It's a mistake, normally my previous message was an answer to the "show desktop functionnality" msg. Regards
I don't understand, Iook here : http://www.kde-forum.org/viewtopic.php?t=2902 It's the same topic I have posted in another part of the forum. I don't understand why you have the old functionnality for this button. I have looked in the source code, and this button cannot be configured. Normally with KDE3.2, when you click on this button on time, all applications are iconified, when you click a second time or you open a document on the desktop all the application are deiconified. Regards
In your first answer to my topic, you say that you think we can't reproduce the old "show desktop" button fonctionnality from the shell. What do you mean ? It's possible for a batch file to create graphical application with windows, widget, and other ? Where can I find some informtion on that ? If we can do that, I am very interested, that can be very well to design small application ! Regards
Ok, I answer to my question :-D I have finally found a solution. In fact, I have uninstalled all the fonts packages, and make some cleaning in the fonts directories. After that, I have installed one by one the fonts packages, and relaunch KDE all time. At a moment, I succedeed to have a clean font in kde ( without antialiasing ), with Helvetica, and 12 for the size. After, I have installed the "urw-fonts-2.0-11mdk", relaunched KDE, and the fonts becam ugly ( alway Helvetica size 12 ) I have desi...

Thank you very much for your help, the wish is done Best regards
I have recently installed KDE 3.2 on my laptop. It's impossible for me to have a clean font display in all KDE application. And with antialiasing it's not beautiful. It's curious because the font are clean with Mozilla, with any size. So I have tested some things, following : - Uninstall ALL rpm fonts packages - Relaunch KDE, all the fonts displayed are horrible EVEN in Mozilla. In the "configure desktop/fonts" menu, approximately 10 fonts remain ( It's normal ) - Install the rpm package XFree86...
In fact, this functionnality don't need to be configured on this button. The best is to have another button called "minimise all application". After the user can add it or not on the task bar with right click, add special button, etc... You talki about post a feature request, how to do that ? Thanks Cyril
But I think it should be good to have the 2 buttons version. One button "show desktop", and "minimise all application" for the other. If I want to change the actual button functionnality, if I understand, I have just to modify and compile the 'kicker' application ? Best regards, Cyril HAENEL
Hello, I am french, and I will try to explain my problem... I am using KDE 3.2, I am very happy it is fastest that older KDE on my AMD K6-III 550 ! My question is about the "show desktop" button. Let's imagine I have Mozilla opened, and I want to access desktop to open my home directory. So I click on the "show Desktop" button in the task bar, and all the opened application go down in the task bar. Every thing is OK. But when after that I click on my Home directory on the desktop, all the minimi...
