How do I get rid of the Google search in Konqueror

Quoted Originally posted by bozy 1. Go to Settings->"Configure Toolbars..." 2. Select the Location Toolbar <searchbar> 3. In the "Current Actions:" selection area you should see "Search Bar" 4. Select the "Search Bar" option and press the arrow pointing to the "Available Actions:" selection area. 5. Press OK Tried that, but doesn't cut it for me. The search bar won't go away, and it will keep appearing in the "Current Actions:" area for the search bar. I'm running "Konqueror 3.3.2 (Using KDE 3....

[konqueror]how to close the left toolbar?

Quoted Originally posted by anda_skoa I guess they are talking about the Document Relations toolbar. Yes - that's correct. Quoted Fortunately it is a plugin, so you can get rid of it by removing the respective library (or removing the read and execute flags) I think it is called something like libkonqrellinksplugin (the rellinks part is pretty definite) Thanks! RE: [konqueror]how to close the left toolbar?

Same question here. The issue wouldn't even be a real problem, were it not for the observation that, as I keep navigating, more and more of these useless bars open up, taking up ever more real estate, and leaving less and less useful space on my screen; in the end, this becomes problematic even on a 1280-by-1024 screen resolution. Could anyone perhaps try and explain what problem those pesky toolbars were actually meant to solve in the first place???

Konqueror: Euro Sign Gets Mangled

Quoted Original von anda_skoa Check all fonts in control center that they have either Unicode or ISO8859-15 as encoding. How do I find out if a font has such encoding? When I open Control Center (from the KDE menu), then select "Fonts," I see a list of configured font names (e.g., "General" is set to Sans 10, Fixed width is set to courier 10, etc.). Nowhere can I find a mention of anything akin to encoding, though. Furthermore, Konqueror has its own, separate, font settings (accessible through ...

Konqueror: Euro Sign Gets Mangled

My software environment is SuSE Linux 9.0 Professional, running KDE 3.1, and Konqueror as the browser. Whenever I type a euro sign into a message, I see it appear, correctly, as a euro sign. However, as soon as I either "Preview" or "Submit" the message, the euro sign gets mangled, and is replaced by a question mark. See below: -------------------------------------------------- ? <-- This was a euro sign when I typed it. -------------------------------------------------- Now, I'll hit the "Previ...
