Alas, that is how I configured it :-(
I've recently upgraded to KDE 3.2 on my fully patched RedHat 9.0 laptop with kernel 2.4.23. I find that I cannot add submenus using the menu editor. I can create them but they never appear. I've tried rebooting and I've tried creating them as root. What am I doing wrong? Thanks - John
It seems that no matter how I configure lisa, whenever I try to browse the LAN from konqueror, it generates a "The lisa daemon does not appear to be running error". This is even after repeated reconfigurations with stopping and starting the lisa daemon manually. I've configured lisa to ping three separate networks and trust my computer. I've told it to try pinging twice. What am I doing wrong?
Hmm . . . I really am a KDE fan I always prefer KDE apps to GNOME apps all things being equal. However, I continue to be disappointed with Kontact. I am quite willing to confess that it may be my problem in that I am not perusing the documentation. I've been impressed with KDE-3.2 and thought I would give KMail a try to compare it to the Ximian Evolution mail client I normally use. It seems to have great potential although I found it highly unstable - especially while downloading my substantialy mailbox with IMAP. However, I'm struggling a bit with navigation and am assuming it is because I am a bit brain dead after working my way through endless dependencies and then learning the new applications for the last 36 hours! I normally do not u...
I was able to successfully set up my Yahoo account. By the way, what is kbuiodsyscoca? I didn't see that anywhere on my system. Thanks - John
I'm feeling quite stupid about this but I didn't see anything on the net regarding this problem. I have just upgraded to KDE 3.2 on my RedHat 9.0 laptop with 2.4.23 kernel. I thought I would give kopete a whirl for my Jabber account at work. I choose to add a new account, the account wizard pops up nicely, I choose Jabber and Kopete replies "Impossible to load protocol 'Jabber'". The help buttons do not work so that is not help. What foolish thing is this complete Kopete newbie doing wrong? Than...
