i've just maked koffice 1.3. But when i started eg kword or all the others koffice apps i have : [code:1]# kword kbuildsycoca running... koffice (lib kofficecore): ERROR: Couldn't find the native MimeType in kword's desktop file. Check your installation ![/code:1] How can i solve it? Thx
ok lol, i'm a real NB : it's simple doing : ./configure --prefix=/usr in place of modifing the configure file.
just put your mouse over it. but the size 96*96 is due to msn.
okay, i got it to work If compilation works even if there is the message in the configure. You should be able to open kopete but without any plugins nor the icon. So uninstall it then : modifiy the "configure" file. look for ' ac_default_prefix=${KDEDIR:-/usr/local/kde} ' and modify it as : 'ac_default_prefix=${KDEDIR:-/usr}' Then ./configure make su -c "make install" as usual . that works for me with Mandrake 9.2 .
see the other topic about the plugins, i found a trick.
i have the same problem as you. But how do you do to solve the fact that kopete installation directory is /usr/local/kde . I try to copy all the kde directory into /usr/local, but it gives me only the possibility to execute from the konsole. What's more : kopete does not display its icon in the status bar. So as for the plugins it is a problem of directory. It doesnt know where to look for... perhaps should i try to copy kde directory directly into .usr . But i fears me a bit . I did not find yo...
The warning in the configure are not the problem. I'vs just successfully made kopete. I dont know why it did not work before. But now it works. Try to install/desintall the kopete rpm before compiling. Nevertheless, kopete installs itself in the /usr/local/kde directory. so if you type kopete int he konsole it doesnt works. And if i execute it from /usr/local/kde/bin i have no plugin in the configuration window. but it is another topic.
