KDE 3.2 via Konstruct on Redhat 9

Does anyone have a WORKING KDE3.2 on Redhat 9? I tried building it myself and building it via konstruct and achieved the same results -> ugly and very buggy. The fonts are especially bad even with antialiasing. And most times after the screensaver I get all these thin horizontal lines over the entire background and scrollbars. It is very strange. I am not a newbie, I have built older versions of KDE myself for several years on the same box. I have a perfectly working KDE 3.1.4 that I built mysel...

Sharing Addressbook

My wife and I are both using kmail in our respective accounts on our home network. We'd like to be able to share 1 addressbook between us. Is there a preferred way to accomplish this with KDE3.1.2? I thought of putting std.vcf in a global, group-writable location and then creating symlinks in our respective ~/.kde/share/apps/kabc dirs that point to the global std.vcf. Other better ideas on how to do this? Thanks for any help, allen
