Try going into the kopete directory after the configure command and before the make command. > cd [source dir] > configure [options] > cd kopete > make I did that and I am compiling at the moment so I am not sure if that is the complete solution. I had the same problem. But I did a 'cd kopete' first and next I started the make. That seemed to work, at least I'm compiling at the moment. thargoid
