This sounds like another manifestation of the problem I'm having. When someone who is not in my contact list sends me a message, it pops up the message dialog but says that user is offline. It adds a group to the contact list and adds two copies of that user's name. Neither shows online. The behaviour sounds very much like what you're describing. It sometimes crashes kopete on exit when this happens. Jim

I'm seeing an issue with Kopete and have not been able to find an answer. If someone who is not in my contact list sends me a message, the chat dialog box pops up, but if I try to reply, Kopete tells me that user is offline. The "Not in Contact List" group pops up in the contact window, but nothing appears under it. I've seen this with AIM users as well as Jabber users. Kopete sometimes crashes on exit after this has happened, but not every time. Anyone else seeing this? ---Jim
