Thanks for the info, kedge.
*bump* I'd like to know this, too.
I've found it, too, but it also didn't help. But it can be that I've found it a bit too late. I've done something different. I made a backup of the important files in the user's home directory, deleted the user, created the user new and copied the backup back into the home directory. It's not the best way but it worked. But the storage of the K menu should be extremly better and easier in the next version. ;-) Nevertheless, thank you for your help, cmbofh.
Where are the KDE developers who have written the K menu?
No, that's not the solution because my user don't have the directory ~/.kde/etc and there's only one "global" file called applications.menu in /usr/kde/3.2/etc/xdg/menus.
Nobody there, who knows how and where KDE stores the K menu and its entries?
Finally I've got kde 3.2.2 installed. But now have a problem with the K menu. When I'm logged in as root I have the normal standard K menu with every standard menu entry. When I'm logged in as a normal user I'm missing the Utilities menu in the K menu. The entries in the Utilities menu - the .desktop files - are stored in /usr/kde/3.2/share/applications which the normal user can read. Has anyone an idea how I can get the Utilities menu back into the users K menu? cyberpatrol
Hi! I've tried to emerge kde 3.2.2 several times. (I'm using Gentoo.) I'm always getting many errors during compiling kdelibs: Error: Problems running dot. Check your installation! Does anyone know what this error message wants to tell me and how I can fix it? It seems to have something to do with dcop and/or khtml. I've tried to compile kde with qt 3.3.1 (I think - the newest version) and 3.2.3 and with gcc 3.3.3 and 3.3.1, which is recommended by the KDE developers. And can it be that kde 3.2....
The problem is that if I have a very long website like a tutorial or howto I don't know on which printed pages the part I want to print will be.
Does anyone know if it's possible in Konqueror 3.1.4 to print only the selection instead of the whole Website?
Thanks for the answer. I see, in KDE 3.2 will be some very good and useful improvements. I'm looking forward to the final version. But clicking the middle mouse button over links should be configurable, too, even if it can be very useful if the particular link is opened in a new tab or window.
Is it possible to disable the middle mouse button (mouse wheel) in Konqueror? It's quite annoying that always when scrolling through a website with the mouse wheel and pressing the wheel button by mistake Konqueror opens a new site and takes the word under the mouse cursor as URL.
