I have been playing around with getting sound to run smoothly on my system (a mandrake 9.1 vanilla install running kernel 2.4.21 and KDE 3.1.0). It's an old Althlon 500 with 256MB ram and a PowerVR Kyro II graphics card. SB Awe32 ISA PnP soundcard. Another alternative that XFree isn't configured to use dmps on the screen. Make sure you have the following line in your monitor section: Option "dpms" Without it, XFree will prevent the screen from going into the low-power states. -- Christer
Take a look at SynCE. I have my iPaq 3660 connected and it even synchronizes my contacts. Make sure you install the KDE packages.. They're great -- Christer
