Open dialogs don't work..

It was a completely fresh install, reformatted drive and everything. This problem was one of the first things I noticed. I'm going to double check that all my versions are the latest, maybe there's one or two in there I missed, will fix it.. ..degauss.

Still have problem

So yeah, 10 days later and I'm still stuck. All KDE apps, which tend to be the most useful, I might add, are useless to me. And, I still haven't a clue what's going on or how to fix it... HELP!!!!

No amount of resizing brings it down to a usable size, and it doesn't respond to any sort of maximizing or such. If I ran KEdit from commandline, I see the following error...

Am I logged in or what?

As I am writing this, I am unsure if I'm logged in, even though I just logged in successfully.. There's no indication, and everytime I go to a forum page, there's a login form either on the side or at the bottom, even though I checked the 'Remember Me' box. I'm the newest user, and I don't see any other posts about this, so I'm assuming I just caught one of the devs with his pants down.. ..degauss.
