Unbelievable but ID-Software has got a really native port of Q3A for Linux.
No. I think it's the other way around. He wants to finish KDE without seeing GDM again. Perhaps the developers of GDM and KDM should meet. I don't see a practicable solution.
Hello! OK, this is rather off topic because it's got nothing to do with KDE... Who knows a good LaTeX-Book for advanced users? I don't find enough docu on the Internet and I'd like to be fit when we start to set up our "Abi-Buch". Thanks, Christian
Grepping my archive showed: [code:1]christian@bowfinger:~/download/kde/cvs> grep -R "KSpellConfig::fillDicts" * kdelibs/kdeui/ksconfig.cpp:KSpellConfig::fillDicts( QComboBox* box, QStringList* dictionaries ) [/code:1] So you will have to compile kdelibs (and probably qt-copy and arts, too).
Usually you have to install the newest KDElibs et al to get the newest functionalities. So search for KSpellConfig in the sources and you'll find out what package you'll have to install.
seb, could you post the link to imci?
I'm not sure. But in this menu entry you can change the transparency for every theme. I think it doesn't depend on the theme but on the KDE version...
I'm so glad only 11% use MSN ... well ... what!? ELEVEN? Eleven too much! OK. I like ICQ, because it's nice to have such an "open" protocol -- "open" for everybody -- who wants to read my stuff ;-) well. No risk no fun! Kopete is my choice. I've tried Gaim -- doesn't look good (IMHO). And trillian in the hostile OS (and with WINE), quite nice. But not as fast as Kopete is in Linux!
Not sure if it's enough. But: Edit /etc/passwd and /etc/shadow as root and replace jim with mike in the line where jim appears. [code:1] jim:x:503:100:Big Jimmy's real name:/home/jim:/bin/bash # Change to mike:x:503:100:Big Mikey's new name:/home/mike:/bin/bash [/code:1] then rename the home-dir. [code:1] /> cd /home /home/> mv jim mike [/code:1] This should work. But I will not guarantee anything . Consider triing it with some test-user first...
Sounds weird... Have you already looked up http://bugs.kde.org and posted the bug?
The reason SuSE never put them into Y.O.U. might be that there are no security relevant new features. Or even more interesting: SuSE 9.0 ships with KDE 3.1.4 (not 3.2 CVS or something). Why else updating -- unless you have a AMD64...
BTW: What KDE version do you use?
Heyho! I compiled the CVS sources of KDE (around 27. Oct.) and now Konqueror won't open Websites anymore. It works fine for the protocols ftp, file, lan etc. but not for http. It crashes with some weird message after typing the URL and press ENTER: [code:1] konqueror: setLocationBarURL : url = http://www.suse.de konqueror: KonqMainWindow::setLocationBarURL: url = http://www.suse.de konqueror: trying openView for http://www.suse.de (servicetype ) ko...
Hey, Why doesn't anybody answer!? I'm interested in that feature, too!
Try to start it from the console to see what's the matter. It should dump out some error messages. Additionally you can look at the backtrace via KDE Crashmanager (should start after an application died...)
I like UT most at the moment. For fun or just because I've got nothing to do I like foobillard.
