konq 3.1.1- Plugins still broke!

I'm running Mandrake 9.1 w/ the Nvidia X server (if that matters) and I can't get Netscape plugins working under konqeror 3.1.1. I downloaded, compiled and installed arts 1.1.1 as well as kdelibs 3.1.1 and kdebase 3.1.1. Konqueror says it IS 3.1.1 but says I'm still running KDE 3.1.0 for some reason. I downloaded the Mandrake 9.1 Flash plugin RPM and it insists it is installed- where I don't know. If anyone knows its filename that would help me a lot. Anyway, I go to 'Configure Konqueror', wait ...

Update

The 'Configure Konqueror' menu DOES appear now, it's just there is often a 30 second (or longer) delay between selecting it and it appearing. This also happens when I start Konqueror sometimes i.e it takes an usually long time to load. I'm running a Athlon XP 2000 w/ 512 MB PC400 DDR so I don't think it's a hardware issue- maybe I've just got something configured wrong. Still, I can't get the Flash plug-in to work. I did a: rpm -i flash-plugin-6.0.79-1.i386.rpm And that brought up an agreement w...

Configure Konqueror does nothing!

I've reinstalled Mandrake 9.1 now, this time I haven't installed Mozilla or Galeon at all. I'm typing this in Konqueror (3.1.0, KDE 3.1.0) and, just as before, going into Settings/ Configure Konqueror' does nothing. The rest of Konqueror seems to be fine though. Anybody else had this problem? If I download the latest KDE (keeping in mind I don't have broadband) is Flash/ plugins/ that menu item pretty much guaranteed to work? Thanks! dan

Flash plugin, Konq 3.1.0 and Mandrake 9.1

I've recently been testing konqueror 3.1.0 (the one which comes with Mandrake 9.1) and I've been impressed with it on the whole BUT why do plug-ins not work? When I go to the 'Configure Konqueror' (I can't remember the exact wording of the menu option, as my Linux box is down at the moment so I'm typing this under Explorer) or whatever menu option it is that is supposed to bring up the plug-in configurator, nothing happens. Konq doesn't crash, it just doesn't bring up the required window. I down...
