Hello all, I found a nice fix for the messed up console font in RH 8/9.. If you put a line on your .bash_profile, it should fix the problem! (or in /etc/profiles too) export LANG=C Wa-la; enjoy! -Schwach * PS: This should go in your profile because it needs to be run every time you login.

I’ve noticed that after installing Redhat 7.3 or 8.0 the default ‘bluish’ color will occasionally get messed up after logging off then back in again. This also happens if you open a terminals (or other app) and move the window about on the desktop. I haven’t noticed this when using other desktop managers like blackbox, etc.. This also happens in FreeBSD as well. This is also not limited to one video card. I’ve used both a NV ti and different ATI cards.. Has anyone ...
I was able to burn DVD by using either the dvdrecord command line utility, or by using XCDRoast after installing the dvdrecord.. I would do a search on Google to see where the Xcdroast sight is, and check to see what version of the GUI you need to do this.. It's works great! -Schwach
