Samba and Konqueror (is it possible?)

I may not be doing something correctly but I cannot install that program. I have RH 8.0 and the only RPM is for Mandrake. I also tried the tar file but when I ran the ./configure command I ran into errors. Is there any other way to browse smb shares within KDE?

Gnome to KDE

If, from your taskbar, you choose Extras>System Tools there is an option for desktop switching tool. That is where I find the tool in RH 8.0, so if it is not there in Mandrake just snoop around for it. Also, you should have an option at the login screen to choose you desktop enviroment.

Gnome took over my KDE desktop

How in the world to I get KDE back on my desktop? I have the KDE panel and taskbar at the bottom when I log in as KDE but the desktop is actually GNOME! I can't use the control center in KDE to change the backgroup, etc. Really strange, when KDE is loading I can see my KDE desktop but it swithches to GNOME once I am fully logged in.

Samba and Konqueror (is it possible?)

Need help here, and I am a newbie. I am having trouble accessing my Windows machine with Konqueror. I can access my windows box in GNOME using Nautilus no problem. I can also print from KDE and GNOME. I can access my Linux shares from my Windows box. But when I try to access my Windows computer with Konquerer (I prefer to use KDE) I am able to see my C drive but cannot access it. Is there any other way to browse my network in KDE?
