I normally have it set to "Smart", so as a matter of fact I did just that. I set it to Allow All but it had no effect. It's not really a popup though, it seems to be a way the two frames communicate or something. I don't know much about how js works. Thanks for the suggestion though cmbofh. -- Bryce
Thanks for taking a look, seb. Yes the homepage is fine, but if you did subscribe and then try to access their interface for reading feeds, you would see two columns, one left and one on the right. You click the feed name on the left and the right column becomes the latest headlines from that source. When you hover over the feed names, a tooltip indicates it leads to some kind of javascript action. That is what won't work in Konqui, but that does work fine in FF. Thanks again for looking. -- Bry...
Is anyone able to get Konqui to work at http://www.bloglines.com ? The feeds are displayed in frames via some sort of javascript function that doesn't seem to work right. Firefox is fine with it. I'm on SuSE Linux 9.1/KDE 3.2.1. Thanks. -- Bryce
I can't duplicate your problem here. I opened Mozilla and then clicked the Desktop Access button and then clicked my Home Directory icon opening Konqui, and Mozilla stayed minimized. I think maybe you have a preference set somewhere that may need to be changed. I have nothing more specific about where that might be though.
I think you're looking for kconfigure.
Google searching "kde genealogy" and searching http://www.kde-apps.org came up with nothing usable, so I'd say it doesn't seem so at the moment. But keep checking the above for updates.
He's talking about the feature in Firefox/Mozilla where you double-click the tab bar and a new tab opens. It's a little redundant since you can simply single-click the new tab button on the tool bar instead. But maybe it's a preference issue.
Quoted Original von scanwinder I'm trying to install the flash plugin for Konqueror & it gets to the stage where it wants me to put in the plugin directory but i have no idea where it is. I spent about an hour looking for it & i still couldn't find it. Can somebody please tell me where i can find it? Konqueror scans the directories you specify in Settings>>Plugins where you can Add a new directory for it to scan upon startup.
Thanks for the tip. I think I'll do that.
In SuSE 8.2 there was a "Work Menu" in the Panel right next to the KMenu where the most important and favorite applications could be launched. But now in 9.0 it's gone, so I tried to duplicate it by adding a second KMenu and deleting all it's contents in hopes that I could then add my favorites. Well guess what? BOTH of my KMenus were emptied out, not just the one I right-clicked on to get the KMenuEditor! I solved that problem (by creating a new user,) but I'd like to know if there's a way to a...
You can have different wallpapers on each of your virtual desktops but (I'm pretty sure) not different icons; desktops are for organizing and space-enhancing. They're not like separate user accounts.
No, I don't mean location bar completion, I'm referring to what Mozilla calls Find As You Type, or used to call Type Ahead Find; in other words you type the first letter or two of a link and it gets highlighted, then <Enter> takes you there. (It also works for regular text in a page through pressing a switch key). It really makes all the difference in speed and efficiency in surfing from the keyboard.
Thanks for responding, I'm using 3.1.1 (SuSE 8.2) so I'll have to wait awhile. :x Sounds like a cool new addition though.
May I ask where this configuration panel is for low-medium-high quality ripping? I can't find it anywhere in Konqui's prefs.
I use Kopete for Jabber (and AIM). If Kopete had tabbed channels for IRC instead of separate windows I'd use it for that too, until then it's KsIRC.
The one thing Konqui needs to be perfect is Find As You Type, which makes keyboarding a snap, especially in forums like this one. :o
Thanks seb, I still like Kopete since I'm a KDE fanatic and all. Maybe in later releases there will be one, and maybe a handbook too.
Is there a search-for-users function in Kopete?
Go down to the bottom right corner of any page with a message list and it'll tell you whether you "can" or "cannot" create topics and responses etc. That tells you whether you're logged in.
I have SuSE 8.1 and YAST2 shows that keramik is installed but the window decoration doesn't show up in the list in the control center, although the other keramik elements are there.
