KDE3.2 is not anymore in beta testing...
you may try to look what you see in the /var/log/kdm, maybe there is an error message that would give you some clues about the problem.
You have to go in the "Control center", in the section "Appearance & themes > Fonts", you will be able to change the font and its size.
maybe you can give us the error message ?
Quoted Has KDE adopted the windows-strategy, where you need to buy new hardware everytime you get a new version? I don't think so, some people says that kde3.2 is faster than kde3.1, I am not quite sure, I believe they are as fast. But I haven't run any benchmark. You may try to delete (or move) your ~/.kde directory and try to see if kde is running faster. In fact it's a good idea to have a fresh config directory after an upgrade.
If you do not intend to use sound with kde applications, you may want to disable the sound system in the control center. But if you wish to keep it, you can try to put "0s" in the auto-suspend field, if I understand well what it is said, it should give up the exclusive control.
What version of QT are you using ? QT3.3 is not supported by KDE, and I remember having trouble when compiling kdelibs with QT3.3. If you are using QT3.3, you can either patch kdelibs, either downgrade to QT3.2.
I am not using IMAP, but I think it works the same way, and it works fine on my computer. When you create a filter, you can chose whether it should be applied to incoming message or not. Maybe the option "apply to incoming message" is not checked. Maybe it's not problem, and it's a bug.
it was corrected on the kde 3.2 RC1, I don't think they have broken it in the final release
which version of kde do you use ? It works fine on a kde 3.2.
I don't think we can, you could do a feature request on http://bugs.kde.org/
Hello, Did you try to right click on kicker, then "Panel Menu" >"Add" > "Special Button" > "K menu" ?
Hello, 1. you can change the rate of the keyboard in kconfig 2. that's weird, I am pretty sure it worked fine on kde 3.1, but I am very sure that it works fine on kde 3.2 3. don't try but there is a directory fonts:/Personal which can be access by konqueror, but I don't know the real location 4. I don't know what you mean by finder, so I can't answer
You have to go in "Settings > Configure Konqueror", and in the pugins section, check that the directory (on gentoo it is /usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins/, if you don't know the directory try to search libflashplayer.so) where is installed the flashplayer is in the scan folder section. Click on "Scan for new plugins", and then check that it appears in the plugins list.
I think they will release the source code to the packagers in the beginning of Februar, don't expect the packages to be ready before the middle of Februar.
You can try to launch a konsole, and then type "kmid", and try to open a file. There is, often, a lot information which are displayed on the konsole, it may help you to find what is wrong.
I don't think Mozilla can be a file browser, as for the web, you can go in Settings > Configure Conqueror, and then select "File Association", and in text/html, you can put mozilla as first program to open html files.
Did you try to start the X server from the command line ? By logging and then typing "startx" ? And have a look at the "/var/log/kdm.log" file to see what is going wrong.
you have to go with konqueror to ~/.kde/Autostart There you create a "link to application" (right click and then new). And it should work.
There was a discution on the subject on dot.kde.org, sometime ago : http://dot.kde.org/1068570005/ But the most interressant link on the subject is : http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-core-devel&m=106855804831790&w=2
