Hi there! I run the Pulse Audio applet in the KDE taskbar. But it has no own icon, it shows a question mark, see at the picture: http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/8119/sysbar.jpg So i wonder, how can I assign an icon to padevchooser in the taskbar? Thanx!
Hello, I know in KDE you can set different wallpapers for 2 desktops, but, what I want is 2 totally separate desktops, each with its own $HOME/Desktop[1,2] folder so I can place different icon programs on each desktop. Is such a thing possible with KDE 3.5? Thanx!
Hi there! i use SUSE Linux 10.0 with the "SUSE" window decoration that comes with it. I want to change the color gradient, I once did it but can´t find it now... No, it´s not the color itself, but the gradiation I want to change, I hope you can see what I mean... I attached a little picture. You can see a kind of light line in the middle of the decoration and this type of gradiation can be changed I just can´t find it again where... Thanx for any hint!
Hi there! Latest KDE versions and some patched KDE 3.4.x versions (e.g. SUSE 10) have a nice semi-transparent selection that works in Konqueror and on the desktop. I´d lile to change its color but can find no appropriate option, nowhere... I have added a small screenshot to show what I talk about. TIA
Hi there, i use medium sized icons in Konqueror (32x32 IIRC). But if there are pictures in a folder the shown thumbnails are usually always larger than the icon size. As a result these large thumbnails uglify a bit the homogenous look of all the 32x32 icons. So how can one make KDE/Konqueror to create thumbnails of a smaller size? Thanx! BTW, KDE 3.3.2
Quoted Original von seb NB: for kopete 0.8.2 Go to properties of an ICQ account, then under Connection tab, you can specify the host and the portname to connect to. I know, but this isn´t what I was asking for... I want to assign the port Kopete "listens at* for incoming connections, not the port Kopete connects *to*. Just see "netstat -aptn|grep kopete" where you can see the "*" this is where Kopete listens at and this is the port I want to assign, it seems, Kopete can´t do this :-(
When using ICQ with Kopete, Kopete seem to assign a randomly chosen port for receiving incoming messages. But since I´m using a "firewall" I´d like to assign a fixed port number to Kopete which will be accessible from the outside world. How can I do this with Kopete 0.7? Thanx.
Quoted Original von RobbiK This means that you only need Superkaramba, which does not replace kicker in any way. It's just a program that you "run normally" and takes a theme as an argument. As far as I now there has been discussion about making Karamba become official part of KDE but I don't know if a decision has been made yet. So give Superkaramba a try by following the link acuss provided. And Kenneth, what distro are you using, are you compiling from source or using rpm?? OKay, this sounds...
hi there, when I look at KDE-look.org sometimes people talk about Karamba and sometimes they mention Superkaramba, so are there 2 different competing Karambas ? If yes, which one is the better one to chose ? Will (Super)Karamba become officially part of KDE ? When I install (Super)Karamba, does it replace the kicker mechanism or can I always go back to the old look'n'feel without re-installing KDE ? Thanx in advane !
Is it possible to specify a special font for a KDE application that differs from the general fonts settings ? I'd like to have smaller characters with Kgpg so the list of available keys wouldn't take my whole 17" to be shown.
