I don't know very much about MNG, but I think is something like animated-GIF combined with PNG images.
the first "bug" you are reporting, isn't a bug, but an animated icon. I don't use those themes you have tryed but I know Crystal theme uses some animated icons (in MNG format). I don't know if the frames trace is an effect or a limitation of the MNG format. I've never encountered the second bug you talk about, I've looked in the incos propities on the kcontrol but there isn't an effect to reduce icon sizes (I'm using KDE 3.0.4 on SuSE). ciao

I use Kmess that is a MSN client for KDE, and LICQ for the ICQ network. I've tryied also Kopete.
I'm using RH 8.0 (but I'll install SuSe 8.1 soon). I'm using a Sane-backends that uses the beta backed for gt86xx based scanners, so my sane-* installation (and xsane too) is under /usr/local/ . I've made the firmware file available for all, but nothing change. Te only thing strange I've found is a broken link in libsane.a -> sane/libsane-dll.a 'cause /usr/local/lib/sane/libsane-dll.a doesn't exist, I've also looked in the directory where I compiled sane but I can't find it. the /dev/usb/scanner0 file looks lie this: crw------- 1 david root 180, 48 ago 31 01:31 usb/scanner0 where "david" is the user I use. the scanner module is loaded at boot: cat rc.local |grep scanner modprobe scanner

I've buy a Mustek BearPaw 1200 TA that runs with the sane-backend gt68xx. I've compiled SANE and it runs. How to use it from user$ ? I've tryed changing permissions on /dev/scanner* but nothing?
You don't have to look only the screenshots, the icons are a lot more, try install the full set and then tell me what do you think. dave>>

You can download the latest 0.6.8 version at http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=3095 I'm promoting it here cause I wanna get most feedback, most suggestions, I need to know if you like it, hate it... The goal is to provide a complete icon-set, with all mime, actions, apps, devices etc. also if I know very well that most of KDE users are already happy with Crystal theme or Fusion theme. bye
