It is indeed too bad. Sadly most of this forum seems to be spam and people who for some reason think that asking questions that are nothing to do with KDE in a KDE specific forum is a sensible thing to do. Anyway, I'm not really sure what you problem is, you don't say what it is exactly that you are trying to do. I assume you are referring to the Konsole application. If so then launch Konsole then select Settings > Configure Konsole... Then click on on Schema. You should be able to change the co...
This is a forum for discussion of installation and configuration of KDE, something that your post is in no way related to. You may find you get a better response posting your problem in a forum that is not dedicated to the discussion of something completely unrelated to your problem. The Savayon forums would seem a logical place, or any generic Linux discussion forum. Most Linux distros use Grub these days though. I don't mean to sound rude, but if you want answers to your questions it's often b...
Not entirely sure what you mean. My observations in the years I have been using KDE are that entries for windows are displayed in the taskbar both horizontally and vertically depending on the available space. I.e. if there is space to display entries for two windows vertically and you open four windows, they'll be displayed as a 2x2 grid. If you want only a horizontal list the only way I can think to achieve this would be to adjust the size of the panel so that there is not large enough to allow...
KDE's trash dir is at ~/.local/share/Trash
This is a general method for working out where settings are kept. Get a command prompt and type $ touch now then change the settings you are interested in for yourself. Then at the command prompt run $ find . -newer now This finds all files which have been changed/created since the file 'now' was changed/created. Look at the files listed and you'll find the one which contains the settings you just changed. Now look at the name of that file - they'll be a file with the same name somewhere in the ...
K Menu > System Settings > Appearance > Fonts. If there's no System Settings entry on the K Menu type 'kcontrol' at a command prompt and follow your nose.
Bump, as they say. Anyone?
A forum about KDE seems an odd place to post regarding such a problem since your problem is completely unrelated to KDE. Try somewhere [K]Ubuntu related such as http://www.kubuntuforums.net/ or http://ubuntuforums.org/
I want to add a new source in the 'Get New Wallpapers' dialogue in KDE 3. The only resource I've found regarding this is http://techbase.kde.org/index.php?title=…o_Get_New_Stuff which suggests that such a thing is possible but not explicitly explain how. I've had no success utilising the small amount of information it does provide. If I alter the ProvidersUrl in my ~/.kde/share/config/kdesktoprc It is simply reverts back to the KDE-Look url when I click the 'Get New Wallpapers' button. If I try ...
