This is somewhat old but I had this same problem and this worked for me as well. During the processes that it was running I noticed it refer to Java/JRE. I actually had started to install JRE 6 and the program could not install via the package manager in Kubuntu. I had to restart anyways to boot into my other partition so I did not think much of it. If you install JRE and you get an error, this problem might occur.
