Sometimes when I log into kde ( I also use fluxbox and gnome) in the K menu there is nothing in the system tab and also the control center entry is missing. I originaly thought this might be the result of an update however this has occured at times when I have not updated anything in days. Some times after a cold boot, some times after a reboot, sometimes when I have just switched desktop environments for whatever reason. And not every time either. logging off kde and restarting it has no effect...
