Quoted Originally posted by eudemus Got the answer, but it doesn't quite get me as far as I'd hoped. Instead of running simple dccm or vdccm, run vdccm -d 3 -f -p secret I think it may need starting before running RAKI, and then RAKI somehow works when it does its own dccm thing. I've no idea what these switches are, but it got RAKI properly detecting my PDA. Problem is that it then couldn't do anything more than sync contacts. If you tried to get it to sync calendar or todos, it crashed. I'm p...
Wow. We replied to the same bug report. I still have no solution to this. The best that I have done was to use Evolution's task and calendar resources on Kontact so the PIM data on my Pocket PC can be viewed on Kontact since I can sync with Evolution. It's just that, I cannot properly edit Evolutions PIM resources on Kontact because whenever I attempt to do so, the PIM data gets messed up.
In Kontact, the Calendar Resource that I use is Evolution's Calendar Resource because I cannot sync my Pocket PC with Kontact but I can sync it with Evolution so the PIM data is synced between Kontact, Evolution and my Pocket PC. It's just that, I am experiencing problems with editing Evolution's Calendar Resource using Kontact. Sometimes, the calendar entries are really saved in Evolution's Calendar Resource, sometimes, they are not. When it comes to reading the contents of Evolution's Calendar...
After lots and lots of effort, I found out that synce-kde does not work for Kubuntu Feisty. I found out that I can sync my PIM data between Evolution and my Pocket PC. Since I prefer Kontact, is there such a way that Kontact and Evolution's PIM data be synced?
I fixed it. All I had to do was to install Ksync and Kitchensync.
I have two problems in this single thread that I can show with one screenshot. First, the K Menu Icon looks weird as its left edge seems cut. My K Menu's left edge touches the edge of the screen and I do not know how to fix it. I know I can move it a little to the right for it to look better, but whenever I press the top-left corner (my K Menu is on the top-left of my screen), it does not touch the K Menu because K Menu's left edge seems to be cut shorter. Second, the font color of my desktop fo...
Whenever I configure my Pocket PC with Raki to set synchronization types, I try to activate the synchronization of Appointments, Contacts and Tasks. Whenever I tick the check box for Appointment (to activate synchronization), Raki responds with "Wrong library type for Appointment." Whenever I try contacts, raki responds with "Wrong library type for Contact," and whenever I try tasks, "Wrong library type for Task." What is going on? How can I sync?
After lots of work, I was able to connect my iPaq with Kubuntu. A new problem I face now is the things that I cannot do with Raki. 1. I accidentally chose dccm instead of vdccm. I Reinstalled Raki, but I still did not have the chance to see the pop-up that asks me to choose between dccm and vdccm. Now, I cannot switch to vdccm. 2. I cannot sync using Raki even if I have installed syncekonnector. 3. I cannot view images and play audio streams from rapip://active_connection/ 4. After running KCeMi...
For some reason, kopete now does not play a sound as a notification even if I properly turned sounds on in the notification settings and the sound files also exist. What could have caused this? How can I fix this?
My Webcam is properly installed and configured. It works with every app what uses a webcam except for Kopete. I configured Kopete and in the "devices" tab, in the video device configuration, the webcam device is detected properly, input is set to webcam, and the standard is set to PAL-M. I do not know why, but for some reason, the webcam stream screen is just black. How can I fix this?
Do you think it is feasible to have a GUI code reference? If it is, what would the nature of that feature be? I'm just eager to have a feature like it because having a reference nowhere farther than the terminal emulator just seems to sound like an excellent idea.
Quoted Originally posted by Rinse What do you mean by 'command line reference code'? Do you mean the commands wich control konsole, or do you mean the basic linux-commands/bash-commands? Any will do as long as there is a GUI reference. I think, since the new users are the ones who have most difficulty with the command-line, they are the ones who should be helped with the command-line the most and I think GUI solution is the answer. If the user can just point and click to a GUI command-line code...
Is there a GUI Command-line Code reference for Konsole or other terminal emulators? I believe that many experienced Linux Users still keep accessible references on Command-line Codes. I also believe that they are not the only ones who need those. New users need them so much more but many of them still do not know where to refer to that is why they do not even have an accessible Command-line Code Reference. I am not sure but I think, the man code lists references, but I still believe that a GUI r...
I am a person who always has problems with installing and I encountered it again. I always have problems with dependencies because I don't know what to install and/or where to get those dependencies. I ran the ./install script of BasKet Notepads expecting that it will do the job. Along the way, this is what appeared... What can I do to fix this? Do I uninstall Ubuntu and reinstall it again or would there be a simpler choice?
I have experienced having the icons of KWallet, Kopete, KOrganizer Daemon, and BasKet appear outside GNOME's system tray. They usually appear on top of the "Applications" tab or somewhere around. What can I do to fix this?
When I closed KOrganizer Reminder Daemon, I accidentally chose the "Do not run on start-up" button or something like that. How can I make KOrganizer Reminder Daemon automatically run again whenever I run Kontact?
