Hi all, My Amarok in general works just fine. There is just one thing that I'm a tad surprised about. When I use its automatic playlist generator, i will only generate a playlist of 30 random tracks. My collection is over 1200 tracks and there are definitely more than 30 tracks that match the criteria I set for the automatic playlist. Is it meant to behave like that or is there a setting I missed? Thanks, KitKat The small print: OS: Kubuntu 10.10, KDE 4.6.1., Amarok 2.4.0
Hi all, I'm trying to watch an avi-file with kaffeine (or any other player for that matter but would prefer kaffeine to work) and when kaffeine opens, I only the get sound but not the picture. Does anyone have a clue as to why this might be? Thanks in advance for your replies, KitKat
Cool. So I'll just keep trying after every KDE update
Hi all! I kinda sorta like the new KDE4 look but there really is just one thing I'd like to twinge: I'd like to hide the panels and only have them "pop-up" when pointing into a hotspot (corners etc.) like I was able to with the old KDE 3.5. Is that a setting I just haven't found since I installed KDE4 yesterday or isn't that an option anymore? Thanks for your help, KitKat
I have updated to KDE 3.5.5 today but now I cannot invoke KOrganizer on its own, it only works via Kontact and the what's next view there is even more screwed up than the one in KOrganizer was.
To be fully honest, I am still somewhat of a newb, so I haven't yet dared updating KDE.
Nope, mac filtering is off. One of the other computers that is able to see the second a/p is pretty new and when it was first set up, the scan did show both a/ps.
I haven't even tried printing, but I get an equally mixed up look in the "What's next" view. Appointments there seem randomly out of sequence. The appointment that would really be the next event is listed as the third, the one that doesn't occur till three days after the first one is shown at the top.
Did I get that correctly that you are using Yahoo as your email provider? If you are using the US-based yahoo.com, Yahoo does not allow for your emails to be collected by an email client like KMail. See here. If you're using some local version, check your Help within Yahoo. I know for sure that the German Yahoo (yahoo.de) does allow POP access, so some others might as well.
Hi all, we have a home network which operates via 2 access points. When I scan for networks, I am only shown one of them, whereas other computer in the network can see and thus access the other one as well. The problem now is that the access point I'm accessing is a bit of trouble and probably will be exlcuded from the network. I'm running KDE 3.4 on a SUSE 10.0 machine and use KInternet as my network manager. Are there any settings I need to change / add to get the second a/p to appear? I'd app...
OK, I'll keep that. Yep, the formatting now shows without those all-caps lines and is now much clearer and easier to read. Thanks again.
Thanks, that worked! Do I need to keep the kopete.po and the kopete.mo I created in my home folder or can I delete those?
Sorry, if this seems stupid, but download how (copy, paste as text file?) and where to? I can't get that command to work.
As per yast (I'm using Suse 10.0), kde3-i18n-de is istalled. How do I update it?
Hi everyone, when I mouse-hover over a metacontact with mulitple protocols, its info panel pops up and it looks like this: When I do the same for a metacontact with only one protocol, I don't get these all-caps lines. I'm running kopete 0.12.2. but this error occured suddenly (no changes from me, IIRC) when I was still running a 0.10.x version. Is there any setting that I have missed? Is this a bug?
Same problem here! Where can I find this "export current emoticon theme to others" option you mentioned?
That's easy, just right-click on the protocol icon of a contact you want to group and there'll be an option change metacontact. After you clicked that, there'll be a popup letting you choose to which other contact you want to add the one you right-clicked on.
