Mac iBook PPC, Xorg XDarwin, KDE 3.5.8, installed with Fink. Hi, I have been using KDE for some time now and was happy with it until I got this problem. Now, I can't launch KDE or any other apps like Amarok. I usualy use Xdroplet to launch KDE or any other application and had no problem until recently. Please can someone help to fix this sound problem? When using KDE I have no sound at all, no system sound, no sound in Amarok or Fire Fox. It was working before... I don't know enough in unix to found where this problem come from and how to fix it. Please help

Hi, I tried to install koffice with the command "install koffice" on the terminal (using Fink), I have an ibook ppc g4 and I installed the latest version of fink recently. I don't understand what's wrong, I installed kde with koffice last year and all went fine. Recently, I had to reinstall the whole system on my mac. No, there are no other users logged in. I tryed to enable the sound system in kcontrol>sound system, with the ~/.mcop removed (I didn't find any ~/.mcoprc) I had the same error message then before and a new ~/.mcop was made. Do you have any other idea? Thanks
Hi, Amarok is working fine, but the system sound is not working. typing $ cat /dev/urandom in the terminal gives a lot of strange unreadable thinks and I don't have /dsp in my /dev directory Do I have to set something in /dev/urandom? Usually, themes founded in Theme/style>theme manager can be easilly installed with the theme installer that you have in kcontrol. The ones in "kdm theme" can be installed with kdmtheme-1.1 (you will need to install it first) or manually. Also, check the "how to install".
Hi, I installed kde some times ago, all is working fine now except the sound. I have no sound at all and yes Arts is installed (but maybe not well configured?). Hi, I have a problem to see incoming encrypted e-mails. Previously, I had set-up kmail tu use gpg and it worked fine, I could send encrypted mails end decrypt them. Then, I installed gpg-agent to avoid typing my password every time and since, I'm unable to see encrypted e-mails. I have a message that gpg-agent is unable to decrypt the message. Hi, I still have a lot of trouble with KDE. Since today, all the settings that were accessible via kcontrol or Konqueror have desapeared. There is just an icon folder named "network" in Kcontrol which is empty. The Icons, (konqueror, terminal,... ), that were accessible on the kicker toolbar for an easy access are gone.
