I could not compile .8beta1 while running KDE 3.1 but .8beta2 did compile with no problem.
I also have the problem. It's kind of annoying when you're trying to get something done and you keep opening and closing the software tools.
In kopete go to Settings: Configure Shortcuts and change the send message one to return or enter.
Does the architecture of the processor matter on SRPM's? I am planning on installing KDE3.1.4 but would like to know if it is worth my time to use the SRPM before I end up in failure. Thanks.
I did extract the file as my normal user... when looking at the permissions, all of them have read and write access too.
Thanks Seb, one more question though... I cannot do the ./configure command.. here is the error I get ./configure --prefix=/usr ./configure: line 1138: config.log: Permission denied
Seb, how else would I do it? I'm new to Linux and that has been the only way to do it. When typing just ./configure it yells at me saying I don't have permission.
Thank you, I will try it when I get home. The dependency thing was just me typing to myself. Thank you once again.
Ever since I installed Linux on my PPC I have had problems with my printer. I am using a Epson Stylus 740. Before it would print somewhat but would also spit out a never ending supply of blank pages. Should I install the latest version of CUPS? Also, I recently reinstalled Linux from scratch and now whenever I go into a program (e.g. Kwrite) to print, it crashes the program. Any ideas on that? Thanks
I am running KDE 3.1.0 I can't seem to get it updated to 3.1.4.
When trying to install KDE 3.1.4 from 3.1.0 it says everything works fine and to add some things to PATH. How would I do that? I am running Mandrake 9.1 PPC and using Konstruct. I am currently trying to install it from Source but had some dependency issues that I havn't had any time to fix. Any ideas? Thanks.
I use these set of commands in Konsole ./configure --prefix=/usr make make install make clean Make sure you switch to the directory of Kopete. I have to switch to root to use the ./configure command. Do so by typing 'su' followed by your root password.
When doing 'make' in the Kopete .8beta i get an error about 30 seconds into it saying something about knotifyclient int winId. I've looked around on the web and found nothing about it. Could this be because I am not running KDE 3.14? If so I will just try updating it. Thank everyone in advance.
