I found another similar project called yakuake and there is a note there from the developer that kparts widgets have no method of grabbing the currently selected text ... bummer.
Hi, Its my first dive into kde / qt / c++ and I'm not doing to well. I'm trying to add keyboard shortcuts for copy/paste to/from the clipboard to quadkonsole. Quadkonsole uses Kparts to embed multiple konsoleparts into a single window. I was able to change the default paste shortcuts that already existed, but I'm having problems adding a copy function to which I can bind a shortcut. I tried to implement the copyClipboard method as it is done here: http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/KDE/kdebase/…928&vie...
I certainly appreciate the work you all do, and I don't want to seem un-appreciative or unfriendly, but it kinda sounds like you are making the decision for me because maybe you think we (as in kde users) aren't intelligent enough to make this decision for ourselves. In my opinion, that kind of philosophy belongs only in a place like micro$oft. I'd rather re-compile an app. 100 times, search through a thousand forums, and beg dev's for advice than ever have a decision made for me based on the be...
Can I set a default action for drag n drop so that I am not prompted to copy, move, or cancel each time? I realize I could just use the keyboard modifiers, but I find that very awkward and unfriendly.
