false! imho it's not the kmenu.png case. it's unfortunatelly icon theme independent Mandrake setting and i wonder where it is stored too... Quoted from ""seb"" /usr/share/icons/theme_name/icon_size/apps/kde.png or something very similar
Quoted Original von dropman on kde-look.org i found lines: Quoted How to install a GTK theme Open the KDE-Menu an start the Control Center Select "Look and Feel" and "Style" Click on the "Import GTK theme" button and install your new theme Select your theme Click "Apply" Have fun! :-) but in look and feel -> Style there are no button Import GTK theme I am not shure but maybe it was ther, but now it is gone ... The same situation is with IceWM Windowdecoration installation through control center...
Quoted Original von gabor hi, is there a way to have a transparent konsole when not running kde? i tried it in gnome, windowmaker, waimea, and it doesn't work. everything works in the konsole, but when i select transparent mode i got a black or gray background. i think there's no way to have this... Sawfish partly supports transparent konsole, but it has some redraws problem too
hello, everytime you'll find such a page with "broken" fonts in konqueror it's 99% fault of the page's html/css code (the wrong font specification could be sometimes hidden e.g. in a linked *.css file) and you should report it to the author. it's not konqueror's fault. in this case the obsolete <font face="Times New Roman"> specification which doesn't offer an alternative font specification (at least 'serif' should be specified after 'Times New Roman') causes konqueror have to guess which one of...
Quoted Original von Bistr-o-Math Hi! is there some program, which allows to dock any other graphical program to the kde panel? I.e. I have a program which has a window of sufficiently small size. And I'd like it to appear in the KDE panel like "clock" or "quick launch" etc. Is there a general program which can do this? Thanks in advance. kstart --tosystray yourlittleapp
Quoted Original von elektrohirn you mean in /etc/profiles? is there any other config file where such settings could be placed? u can try to place it into your ~/.i18n file
Quoted Original von sourcexx ... does someone know if this is possible? e.g. you got a running konq with some open websites and you click a link in a mail or whatever so the link will be opened in a new tab in the allready running konq? unfortunatelly konqueror still doesn't support --remote option and nor does kfmclient (just plain openURL) to open new tabs like mozilla or opera does... one possibility i can see: dcop commands in e.g. bash script, but first u have to get dcop name of opened ko...
hi, please, tell us which version of XFree86 do u use, which graphics card and specify what exactly do you mean by 'some times' and 'showing patches'?
Quoted Your browser is not there! Please contact me! what about phoenix? anyway i'll vote for konqueror
Quoted Original von MadMaxJR Hi there! The abovementioned section was the most useful in the old (pre-3.1) KDE Control Center, I really hope it isn't left off intentionally, or I have to stay forever with 3.0.x series KDE (not really, but...) JR it really should be there... at least it is there on my Mandrake system
Quoted Original von Anonymous Hi, Thanks for the info. This is the result: r1co:/home/root # rpm -q glibc glibc-2.2.5-164 r1co:/home/root # Is there anything I can do to sort this problem out ? Thanks u didn't tell which version of suse linux do u use... anyway i'm sorry but i think there's no chance to get it working with glibc 2.1.80 and later according to this faq: http://faqs.lokigames.com/sc3ufaq.html#23 only solution i see is a "downgrade" to glibc < 2.1.80 if your system was using it bef...
do you have kdeadmin-kpackage installed?
if u have rpm based distribution and the simcity3000 installed from a rpm package, try this in a terminal to know which glibc has your system installed: $ rpm -q glibc it could be incompatibility between your glibc and the one which simcity was compiled with... just an idea.
which version of KDE do you use? i have it set up right in my KDE 3.1 on MDK Cooker as application/x-shockwave-flash...
the idea sounds cool, if i get it right
since we cannot add posts to the News section i'm posting it here... please, leave the page layout structure as it is! it's the best choice imho. there's no need for new kde-forum.org layout... it's very user-friendly now. u can change graphic design or icons, but the default phpBB structure is ok for me.
Quoted Original von wismerhill The most annoying is that it worked with KDE2, am I doping something wrong or should I fill a bug report? hi, yes, it seems to be a bug. i've got the same result in kde 3.0.4 as you. however, here's my hint, how to do what u want anyway: 1) do e.g. this: kstart --window gkrellm --alldesktops gkrellm -g -0+0 --wm 2) click with right mouse btn on the win decoration and in the menu switch on "Always on top" and then click "Save settings", quit gkrellm 3) run again as...
