Hi, just had an idea of conditional shortcuts. This could for example allow using one shortcut to close active tab, and the same shortcut to close application window if there are no tabs.. Pressing Esc in kdevelop could stop running compilation (if it is), lower bottom docks (if they are shown), etc..

Hi, what about re-organizing applications,data,media,whatever.. into groups (tasks) and develop a new kind of desktop. A user would not have to go through Kmenu->Multimedia->Movie Player but he would simply choose "Watch movie", "Check email", "Browse internet", "Read news", etc. The list of displayed tasks should be done in some intelligent way (like most common for that particular user at given time,..). The selection would not only ask another question like "what movie?" and start some applic...

Hi, if I move/rename a file it disappears from Recent Documents. I wonder if this could be fixed somehow (it works on Windows and OSX). thanks, mdl

Hi, what if panel (kicker) could have different views with an easy way to choose one of them? Each view would have it's own embeded applets, icons, whatever and properties. For example while reading a pdf I could see only clock (with minimum panel length), while programming it would have kdevelop, kate, google search, konsole, umbrello, window list or other things, while making graphics it would contain gimp, color chooser, snapshot, gwenview etc.. mdl
