Quoted Original von anda_skoa How many of them did you try? Hayes? I wonder where have these extra playlists gone to? They used to be in kdeaddons, but not anymore.. Or then they just don't get compiled for some odd reason. Maybe they depend on that library for id3v2 tags? If so, it should be added to kde 3.1 requirements/optionals list.. -rzei
Quoted Original von anwar_lpk how we run the mpeg files in linux? Most people who like nice GUI's choose xine, the rest will want to use mplayer (as it is superiour to xine in many aspects). for mplayer there is a great KDE frontend available called KMPlayer, kxine is also available. KMPlayer has neat features like being able to embed it everywhere, for example Konqueror. Quoted Original von anwar_lpk i use redhat9 distribution One note on xine or mplayer; you should always build these from the...
Quoted Original von zwirni2 since I have switched from KDE 3.0 to the new version 3.1 the flash plugin doesn't work any more. So I tried to download a newer version of the flash player from the macromedia site (the one for Mozilla 1.1), but this doesn't work, too. The plugin is listed in the plugin list of Konqueror as FutureSplash and as Shockwave Flash. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong?? I've got no idea what's wrong but you can have. Start kdebug and turn on everything related to netsc...
Quoted Original von tuxer221087 * will noatun be able to play divx (*.avi) in KDE3.1 ? IMHO after reading all those development messages of mplayer etc. making an allaround media player isn't easy. Especially when you add all the possible legal problems to it. Quoted Original von tuxer221087 * will noatun EVER be able to play divx or will it only play mpg, mp3, ogg,.. Again IMHO if noatun would only develop to a good music player that'd be enough. As I see it, it'd require a new and better play...
Quoted I have upgraded my KDE3.0 to KDE3.1 and now my Mplayer does not work anymore... In case by Mplayer you mean mplayer from http://www.mplayerhq.hu, the problem is that your old mplayer is linked to arts libraries, which have changed during upgrade resulting incompability. You really should compile mplayer by yourself, using packages from example SuSE, will only give you a very crippled version of mplayer. If you need to use some binary packages, use the ones from mplayer's homepage. -rzei
