And another one more. I use Gentoo quite a while. Before I already tested a lot of other distros, beginning with suse (4.3 or so), RedHat and Mandrake. A while ago my favourite distro was Caldera OpenLinux. But now I only use Gentoo. The only disadvantage of this distro is, that it takes soooooooooo long to compile all the packages you want. Even on a 3.06 GHz P4 system it takes a while. But there are more advantages than you have by using any other distro. Gentoo you can customize like no other...

Hi all, I recently upgraded to KDE 3.2. Until now I'm very happy with it. Now I wanted to configure kopete. Starting Kopete runs as expected, but as soon as I want to connect to one of the protocols (no matter which one) Kopete hangs. I already tried to remove the kopeterc and reconfigure the protocols again. To eliminate possible problems with interactions between kopete and kwallet I tried to save the password unsafe. Also I tried not to save the password. Starting kopete from the command line...
