After more trawling, found a tip from a couple of months ago on the Admin forum. [URL]http://www.kde-forum.org/post/57994/lastpost.html#post57994[/url] At first, I thought changing the environment variable KDE_MULTIHEAD from true to false would do the trick, but it doesn't - kcminit overrides it at start time. It seems you need to edit your kcmdisplayrc file (mine is at ~/.kde/share/config/kcmdisplayrc, yours may vary) to find or create the [X11] section so that it reads [X11] disableMultihead=t...

Dual Setup. Avoid loading kde on second screen.

If FragMaker wants to run his full-screen app in the other display, then he'd probably start it with something like >myapp -display :0.1 but if he configures X to use just one display, then display :0.1 won't exist. Respectfully disagreeing with Rinse, I'd say he needs to configure X for both screens and KDE for one screen only. The question is, how? He seems to have cracked the X part already, but the KDE part has him stuck, and me too. Is it truly impossible to control how (and whether) KDE st...
