I'm using KDE 3.5 with KMail 1.8. I backuped all my Emails in the campus server. However, sometimes, I don't check Emails by the same computer. It's quite strange that every time when I tried to check Emails by KMail, I cannot see the read Emails any longer. I mean, some times, I do need to read the old Emails again, but I couldn't make it with KMail. Can anybody help? I know there is an Import Messages Tool, but how can I just download the old mails that only restored in the campus server? Chee...
Actually, I don't think there will be much difference between kopete 0.11 and kopete 0.12. How can I succeed in compile kopete 0.11 with my gcc4.0 instead of kopete 0.12?? I checked online and I got the information that some of the bugs are bogus. Please refer to http://chess.eecs.berkeley.edu/escher/de…aq-stlport.html But, what happened to my kopete 0.12 then?? Cheers JIA Pei

I just followed the instructions here: http://wiki.kde.org/tiki-index.php?page=Kopete+XHTML%2BCSS I followed the instructions svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/branches/kopete/0.12 cd 0.12 make -f Makefile.cvs ./configure --enable-debug cd kopete make su -c "make install" When "make", I got the following errors. /home/pjia/0.12/kopete/protocols/jabber/jingle/libjingle/tal...
I used kopete 0.11 to video chat with my friends all around the world. I found that kopete is not that stable. I mean sometimes, the connection is fine, but sometimes not... It might be the band width of the internet. But, I'm still not satisfied with the connection of kopete Can any guru tell me how you realize the connection and how you realize the image compression in kopete? Cheers JIA Pei
In Settings->Configure Plugins->History, there is only a tickbox to show the chat history in new chats. However, there must be a method to backup all the history, right? Where to set --backup all history ( different from show some of the history) If there is no such kind of tickbox, where to find the history? I mean, in which folder in Linux?? Cheers JIA Pei

I downloaded libjingle-0.2.1 directly from sourceforge and tryied to compare this libjingle with the libjingle in kopete. I happened to find that libjingle-0.2.1 has a file named "config.h.in" in the root direcotory, that is to say, there is a file ".../libjingle/config.h.in"!! After "./configure", the libjingle-0.2.1 will produce a file named "config.h" by itself in the same folder!! But, the libjingle in kopete doesn't have a silimar file named "config.h.in" in the folder ".../libjingle". Afte...
First, thank you so much for helping me to solve the iLBC problems!!! Second, could you please tell me what is the full path? I couldn't even find a file named "config.h" except one in the root folder, say ".../kopete-0.12-alpha1", but the file "basicdefs.h" is in the folder ".../kopete-0.12-alpha1/kopete/protocols/jabber/jingle/libjingle/talk/base"... I tried to change the "config.h" in file basicdefs.h to ".../kopete-0.12-alpha1/config.h", but failed again. Quoted Originally posted by bauerfic...

I followed the installation instruction strictly.
