Het verbaast me dat Python-mode in Kdevelop nog steeds niet verder is uitgebouwd. Petje af voor Eric, maar ik vind de Kdev omgeving 'n stuk handiger (hou niet zo van al die losse windows op je buroblad, bovendien schijnt context-help nog niet te werken bij Eric). Inmiddels heb ik een Kate-uitbouw van een Python omgeving (incl. debugger) gevonden in de vorm van Protoeditor (.sourceforge.net), maar dit aan te passen en in te bouwen bij Kdev gaat me te ver boven mijn pet. In de "Documents" sidebar van KATE (katefilelist in broncode/v.2.5.1) en de FileTree (en FileSelector) van KDEV (v.3.3.92) kun je maar 1 file tegelijk selecteren, wat me nogal onhandig overkomt. Zo kun je bij KATE b.v. niet Komparetwo gebruiken op de geopende files en bij KDEV's filetree kun je zo niet een hele rits files aan je project toevoegen of in de editor openen. Zijn ze eenmaal geopend in KDEV's FileList, kun je wel meer dan 1 file tegelijk selecteren (met een dubbelklik!, wat in KATE we...

Wouldn't it be more useful to be able to select multiple files in KDev's FileTree sidebar (and in its File Selector) ? At present you have to individually select every file you want to have in the embedded editor. Any easy patches around ? Kdev.'s Difference Viewer asks for a patch file. I guess it wouldn't be trivial to extend this by first taking two files, DIFF them and then pipe their patch directly into the Diff window (as an extra tool or plugin ?) Thanks.

In KATE's "Documents" sidebar you can only select one file at a time (singleclick), contrary to KDevelop's FileList sidebar (doubleclick). Could someone post or send me patches to change this (just setting QListView to Extended instead of Single doesn't do the trick obviously). I looked at KDevelop but got lost in the code.
