Hi, I had the same problem and I figured out, that adding someone to your contact list in kopete does not add the one to your ICQ-server-contact-list. But as long as the one you want to talk to is not on your server-contact-list you won't be able to see his/her online status or receive messages from him/her. Solution: Use the ICQ-Webclient go.icq.com and re-add the user to your contact-list. As soon as the user appears there you will also be able to see his/hers online status within Kopete. HTH ...

Hi, I just upgraded my KDE 3.1 to KDE 3.2 and since than I experience some problems with the kicker: If I click on the kicker and try to start a programme than KDE freezes. I can still move the mouse but clicking anywhere doesn't lead to anything. After some minutes (or pressing CTRL + ALT) everything work's again. Anyway the programme I tried to launch hasn't started. Hi everybody! After a longtime of testing different IM clients I found Kopete which fits my needs best. There is just one problem where I would be glad if you could help: I am from germany and when I try to write a message which contains german-special-chars like the Umlaute "ä", "ö" or "ü" they where not transmitted correctly. I guess Kopete uses a character code which does not contain these chars. Is there a chance to influence which character-code is used by Kopete? Many thanks in advance! Th...
