Okay... just 2 days ago I was able to open Point2Play, but as of yesterday I can't, I don't know what the error is because it didnt say in the logs, and i tried uninstalling both Cedega 4.1.1 and Point2Play 1.3.2 and then reinstalling them, but it still doesnt work... Any Ideas?
okay... I just updated to KDE 3.3.1 and Konqueror 3.3.1 and konqueror is now loading at 500bytes per second instead of 200bytes per second (still thats REALLY slow!!!!!) but its still a speed increase...
I think its a problem with the gnome-lib library, but i tried updating it and it did nothing... the file it was opening was gnome-lib.so.0 or sumtin of the sort in /opt/gnome/ or sumtin (cant remember exact file name or location... im at school) but Im going to try to remove Glib, Glibc, Glibc Devel, Glib devel, and gnome-lib and reinstall them to see if that fixes it lol... just wondering, Is there any major problems ill get when i remove them? Okay, I'm using the 'Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer Optical (USB)' It has 5 Buttons, Left side, Right side, top left, top right, and the wheel button, along with the wheel, and for some odd reason, I am unable to use the two side buttons! They're supposed to do the "Back & Forward" commands on web browsers and file browsers..., How do I Make the buttons work? I have the correct mouse selected in the hardware config...
How do I make my account a SuperUser? because I'm getting annoyed with having to type the root password so many times... especially when I'm trying to fix stuff! someone told me I could with SUDO, but I don't know how? does anyone know how to make an account a SU using SUDO or something else?
mines slow too... i have SuSE 9.1, KDE 3.2.x and whatever version of Konqueror comes with SuSE 9.1, i also have kernel 2.6.4... but i didnt compile my KDE it was on my SuSE install cd (I Installed 9.1 personal, just downloaded the tools i need from Yast that werent on the CD)
I was trying to compile the newest version of ATK, because i couldnt get the newest one using Yast2, and I do configure and it says it couldnt find "fontconfig" and Yast says its installed..., does anyone know where fontconfig directory is and where the pkgconfig files are so i can make sure the path is correct
No one knows any way of making Konqueror load pages faster? because it loads them at about 200 bytes per second... and i tried making another user and trying it on that one, but it was still slow, so it isnt a config problem, but if anyone knows any way to make konqueror download images/HTML faster please respond!
Nevermind... I guess it was the server... because I tried the KDE IRC Server and that worked...
Okay, I used Yast2 to download GNOME and other updates, and after it installed gnome, gnome wasnt working right so i removed it, then Firefox and some other applications werent working... when i tried to run Firefox, it gave some error about the shared library files... (I'll get the actual error when I get home) I'm guessing it has to do something with the config, cuz its looking in i think /opt/gnome/* for the files... and i dont have gnome anymore so yah... If anyone knows anything about a pro...
Okay, I'll try that when I get home, hopefully that will work... because I can't find RPM's of the most recent versions of what im trying to compile, that's the only reason im compiling it... :wink:
okay... yah i had to do this so i could stop clicking send to duh send the messages, but i think its under options, then Kopete shortcuts or sumtin of the sort... all of the kopete shortcuts are in there, find copy and set it to what you want... lol
Yah... I'm having problems compiling sources that make folders... because the folders are made in the / directory which is controlled by root, and i was wondering, on SuSE 9.1 Personal, how do i run the commands 'make' and 'make install' as root? one of the INSTALL files said how but that didnt work...
