Quoted Original von anda_skoa hmm, very strange. Perhaps removing konsolerc and so starting with an untouched konsole works. A friend of mime has similar problems. It worked after he deleted apps/konsole in his KDEHOME dir Cheers, _ Interesting idea. In fact, on the machine that it's working better on, I at one point did "rm -rf .kde*" in my home directory, that might just clean up some of the problems on the other machine. In fact, that's the one that's probably had KDE1 and KDE2 installed on ...
I should have gone into more detail. I'm doing two machines. "Save settings" saved the size of the konsole on both machines, but it only saves the keyboard settings on one of them, and I still occasionally get a konsole with the wrong keyboard setting, though by the time I've noticed, I forgot how I pulled up that konsole. As for copying the profile into my home directory and modifying it, what is the default profile? Is there one? I looked in /usr/local/share/apps/konsole/profiles and the only ...

I'm working on making Konsole take the place of Rxvt on my workstation at work, and I'm coming across a few issues, all of them tied to the fact that due to historical reasons, xterms here have to have delete bound to ^? and backspace bound to ^H. I can get this using the VT420PC keyboard mapping, but I've got problems trying ...
After fighting with it for a while, I gave up and did "rm -rf .kde*" I'm fine again, I can play with fonts to my heart's content, but I am *NOT* touching the antialiased fonts checkbox again
I'm trying not to act like a total newbie, as I searched for this font problem and didn't see it discussed. Relevant data: KDE 3.1.3 running on FreeBSD 4.8-stable installed from the ports collection. I'm finally taking the time to catch up with modern desktops (my old windows manager hasn't been updated since 1996), and I'm trying to get a solid feel for KDE, Gnome, and the like. While I was playing around (turned antialiasing on to see how much of an effect it had), my Konsole's suddenly change...
