I went ahead and bit the bullet and just waxed the hard drive and loaded 10.3. Although I would still like to know if anyone has a defintive answer to the issue. I'm still interested in find out the fix. Although, without me able to try any suggestions, I guess we'll never know the suggestion worked or not. . Thanks Tazzin
