kio_ftp & quanta : help please...

Hello,

I've a big problem with the kio_ftp slave under KDE 3.5.7 release 56.1, but this happened with all previous versions of KDE.

When I use Quanta Plus to edit a file on my website, saving the file causes multiple instances of kio_ftp to be opened and many simultaneous FTP connexions are established between my computer and the server.

Some servers doesn't like it and blacklisted my IP address.

So, as I would like to continue to use Quanta Plus to edit and work on some distant files by FTP, I would like some help to answer to one of these questions... namely :
1) Is there a way to limit the number of simultaneous FTP connexions that Quanta/kioslave/kio_ftp is allowed to use ?
2) Is there a way to force Quanta to use another way to communicate by FTP with the server than the kioslaves ? Would Quanta be able to use the bash "ftp" command in a konsole, for instance ?
3) If you don't know answers to the previous questions, maybe you know the right place or the right man I should ask... Could you help me ??

Thank you very much for your help !!

Sorry, I've seen ppl ask this before, this is something in KIO and no, you can't configure nor change it. And afaik, it hasn't changed in KDE 4. And it won't, unless someone is willing and capable to do it, sorry.
