kde copies media files from cd to HardDrive when I watch/listen to them

When I watch an *.mpg movie or listen to a *.mp3 on a cd with a KDE-media app(like Noatun or Kaffeine),
It will copy the file to my home directory.
I don't want that, how can stop KDE from copying everything to my home folder?

Use a proper KDE player. I recommend KPlayer. http://kplayer.sf.net/

There's also kmplayer. http://kmplayer.kde.org/

I prefer using mplayer from the command line though.

Check the menu entries of those applications:

noatun %U

instead of

noatun %F

%U stands for URL while %F stands for files. But most KDE apps are capable of opening URLs these days.
