Disable spewing of output when run KDE app from console?

Is it possible to configure KDE apps to not spew out hundreds of lines of warnings and messages when run from the console? It's very annoying and rather unprofessional methinks. I sometimes run apps from the console as it's quicker to type the app's name than navigate the menu. Well it is for non-KDE apps.

Thanks

./configure --disable-debug should help.

Run kdebugdialog and disable all debug areas

Cool thanks! That should definitely make it easier to use apps from the console.
