Kopete doesn't even try to connect

Hi, this morning I have this strange problem. I have 2 accounts in Kopete, one Jabber (gtalk) and one MSN.

When I try to connect nothing happens. Then I removed Kopete from the applications list into the kdewallet and tried again but still it does not connect nor it asks for passwords. I deleted the saved password from the accounts... same behaviour. I deleted the 2 accounts and made them from scratch but still nothing. I finally removed kopete application via Adept and reinstalled and still I have same behaviour! Now I don't know anymore what could I try...

any idea?

thanks
d

uff... I removed again kopete and I've compiled SVN version but it's the same!

I would like to remove any reference to kopete from my profile (I mean, linux user) but I can't understand where kopete stores the informations.

EDIT:
after I've added a new account I click on the icon to set a message, and this is the output on the shell:
