korganizer, calendar color coding

Hello -

Does (or will) korganizer support color-coding multiple calendars? i.e. If I have a calendar for 'work' and a calendar for 'personal', I'd like all the work items to be red and the personal items to be green.

I know I could probably figure out a work-around by using the color-coded categories, but I'd have to edit individual events and assign the appropriate category to the event.

It would be handy if one could simply assign a color to all events in a given calendar... This is how many calendaring systems work (iCal, sunbird, etc).

Thanks
Mike

What KOrganizer version are you using? Since this is possible since KDE 3.4 (you can color the borders of an event based upon it's resource).

Thanks for the quick response...

Yep, I'm using 3.3. Time for an upgrade :)

RE: korganizer, calendar color coding

Ok... need a little more help.

I've upgraded to kde 3.4.2.

I can now assign a color to a resource within the settings. And in fact next to each of the calendar names (left pane) I see a little circle of the appropriate color beside the calendar name.

However, I don't see any change in the calendar itself (right pane). All events show up as green (with a darker green border) - regardless of which calendar (or resource) the event belongs to.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mike

Alright - found it.

Settings -> korganizer -> views - checking 'Agenda views uses resource colors' seems to do just what I need!

Thanks Much.
