I'm looking at it right now, but what's the goal of the forum?

The Goal is actually very simple, I am trying to get as many Linux and Windows Players together in one forum to show them that Linux is also a very good system for gamers. At the moment Windows Player don't think you can play games on Linux, specially when seller like amazom.com sells games like Unreal Tournament 2003 stating that your minimum system requirements are windows this and that, since I bought a full copy of UT2K3 and it works just as good under Linux if not better. This is only one example of games being sold for windows lonely when it actually works on both systems. I have originally written an email directory of the copy that created UT2K3 asking why is it that you announce support for Linux too but I can't find the Linux version on sells anywhere. His answer was simple it gets shipped in the same box as the Windows version.

So if we interact more with Windows gamers they will also know that allot of the games are also available on Linux. And that is the purpose of my Forum. Maybe I should explain it at the forum too.

Yea. Getting Quake III to install on Linux was easy thanks to Loki, but the company that made UT2K3 are geniuses! Other game publishers and developers shuld follow their example.

This is is mainly for players. (Or did I misunderstood something) ...

A X-Platform-Games-Developers-Board would be interesting ...

If that is what you want you should have a look at my forum, as I just added that in yesterday by the request of one of my members.

as I am hopping to start to develop some new maps and hopefully a new game based on a existing game engine.

New DVD-ROM or a DVD-ROM? I have had one for a while now, first I had a 2 speed and then I chaged it for a 4 speed. I love those things they are fantastic for backup and moving data from one system to another. Tell me what Software will you be using? I use X-roaster and it works as a treat! :D
