not being a windows user, I really don't have a clue how this is set in yahoo, but one of my yahoo IM contacts uses the default yahoo client. She set some kind of formatting option on her outbound messages. Kopete will do the little popup balloon when I receive the message. The message snippet in the popup contains the formatting code. However, attempts to view the message will display nothing in the chat window. I don't see anything at all if she tries to send me a message when I have a chat window open to her.
She's a windows user, and is resisting my requests to turn of formatting. Are there any workarounds that might allow this to work? Anyone familiar at all with this functionality in the yahoo windows client?
