I know there is something that I must have done along the line to break the auto-away feature. What can I do to figure out what the problem is and get it working again. This is a really important thing for me to have (obviously).

I'm running KDE 3.4 RC1 on SuSE 9.2 Pro. This has been happening since before I upgraded KDE.

A possibly related problem is that knotify won't start by itself and has to be started with `exec kdeinit +knotify &`. Even if this is unrelated, some help with this would be swell also.

After looking around and finding this somewhat related bug, I decided to enable the screensaver and test it out. If I set the screensaver to go on, auto-away works in conjunction with it. I guess this is fixed enough.
