please help me on this!!

i downloaded a new version of KDE 3.1, but i have no idea how to install it on to my computer, can anyone here tell me what am i supposed to do.
i am using redhat linux 7.3

close kde (type as root init 3
login as root
browse to the directory where the kde rpms are located
type rpm -Uvh *.rpm
go back to kde.

(rpm -Uvh only succeeds if there are no unresolved dependencies. If rpm finds such dependencies, look for packages that resolve them (usually on your installation disk, redhat ftp or www.rpmfind.net) and try again)

Hi, personally I've used konstruct and it works great, even if you already downloaded all the files to your local system. All you have to do is edit ./configure file and point it to where your files are.
