Kicker

Ive went through settings upon settings upon settings
and maye i missed it, but how to i make the kicker only
show in the center portion of the bottom of the screen?
(IE: MACish)?

Right click your taskbar and click 'Configure Taskbar.' And then change the slider from 100% to whatever you want.

Kicker

i have that done already, but how would i get it to center on the screen?
maybe its the verison of KDE i have, but it doesnt give the option of center, only left, right, top, or bottom on the Configure Taskbar :cry:
is it thje version of KDE or is there something im missing?



btw, im using KDE 2.something (whatever comes with mandrake 8.x?(i belive))

Ok, above the slider, there's a section with blocks that form a square, and there's three per side, so you click on the corresponding block to postion in the kicker. But that's KDE 3.1 for me. But if I remember, in 2.x, there's radio buttons.

yea i can remember looking at that, but there is only an option of:
left (puts it up the left side of the screen)
right (puts it on the right side of the screen)
bottom (bottom left hand corner)
top (top left hand corner)
...its probly the version of KDE im using, when i the calbe company hurries up ill upgrade and see how it goes

Ok, no problem. Weird though. I distinctly remember a center button. You're probably right though that it's your version of KDE. I'm sure it'll get fixed when you upgrade to KDE 3.x.

Yea hopefully....but im nto that sure on wtf im suppposed to do.
I goto a ftp server for kde 3.x and it gives about 500000 files.
which ones would i have to download?

in case you can't tell im kinda a linux newb :/

it was the version of KDE i was using, i installed the newest kde
and the option was right there :D
